Wohlsen Announces Pennsylvania New Hires

Due to continued growth throughout the Pennsylvania region, Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the addition of three new construction professionals to the team.

Hector Velez of Easton, PA, returns to Wohlsen as a superintendent. He began his career in construction as a project engineer intern and has since served as a project engineer and superintendent. His experience consists of renovations and new construction projects ranging in value from $300K to $30M primarily in the senior living sector. Velez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Lehigh University and a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University.

Derek Bauer of Lititz, PA joins the team as a project manager. He began his career in construction as an intern with Wohlsen. Since, he has gained 14 years of industry experience managing numerous multi-million-dollar projects throughout the Washington  DC area. Bauer holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and a Master of Architectural Engineering, both from Penn State University. Additionally, he is an LEED Accredited Professional, OSHA 30 Hour Certified, and CPR and First Aid Certified.

Joe Huber of Mount Joy, PA joins the team at a Senior MEP Estimator.  By trade, he is a Journeyman Electrician and has 18 years of experience in the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pipe fitting industry from installation to project management. He has worked in commercial and industrial mechanical estimating with a primary focus on design/build. At Wohlsen, Huber will be responsible for mentally building projects, and pulling the necessary components together to establish the anticipated cost for the MEP portions.
